THE SON´S VETO

The Son´s Veto, by Thomas Hardy, is a story about a mother and his son that have a bad relationship. His son prohibits many of the petitions that his mother ask. It is a tragic story which includes Drama and Sadness. In this Essay I will talk about the themes relationship and social class.

My opinion is that these themes are the most important. Throughout the book Sophie, Randolph´s mother, has a bad relationship with her son. She is controlled by him. Randolph takes the decisions of his mother. Shee tries to marry Sam, another character of the story, but her son takes the decision that Sophy can not marry with Sam. These problems came, at the beggining of the story, when Sophy married a very rich man called Twicoot, without loving him. Then they decided to have a son and when he became and adult, the problems begun. This problem of Sophy and Randolph is not so noticeable at the begining, but then Randolph starts to veto Sophy´s life.

Another theme is Social Class. You can see this in whole the story. It is something that highlights all the characters, mainly Sophie. She is a poor girl that decides to marry a Richman for benefit. She needed money, and had a bad education so she took this decision. The social class is the factor that makes Sophie´s life change. This means that Sophy´s life change into a better life when she married Mr Twiccot. Sophy´s son is also affected by the social class because of his education. Here I will show an example related to Sophy and Sam about social class. "well Do you wont to marry?" "Not much. But it would be a home for me. And e have heard that one of us will have to leave" This shows Sophy´s decision made at the begining of the story.

In this story, the author shows the lives of these characters and their real personality. He shows the ralationship betwwen Randolph and Sophy. This story is interesting and tragic. The author made a good job. He shows these themes in a very clever way. In my opinion I will recommend this story.

                               Desiertos Americanos

En geografía se define DESIERTO a una zona donde hay poca precipitación de agua a lo largo del año. A lo largo del continente Americano, gracias a su extensión de norte a sur, se encuentran diversos tipos de biomas, entre ellos el desierto. En estos la flora y fauna debe adaptarse a las condiciones climáticas. En América se puede clasificar al desierto en dos tipos FRIÓ y CÁLIDO.

DESIERTO CÁLIDO DE AMÉRICA:

Flora y Fauna_: En los desiertos cálidos de américa los animales deben acostumbrarse a las características del ambiente, y parta ello presentan un mayor desarrollo de las partes del cuerpo adecuadas para ventilar la sangre y regular su temperatura interna. Las flores generalmente son arbustos los cuales presentan baja estatura y raises largas para alcanzar el agua subterránea  también presentan espinas donde almacenan agua y se protegen.Pero también se encuentran cactus de hasta 15 o 20 metros de altura.

Características generales_: 

Este desierto se encuentra principalmente en el norte de América  a la altura del trópico de cáncer  En el clima no se presentan humedades lo cual hace que sea incapaz de absorber el calor del sol, y por esta razón las temperaturas en la superficie experimenta aun notable calentamiento.

DESIERTO FRIÓ DE AMÉRICA:

Flora y Fauna_: En algunas zonas la ausencia de vida es prácticamente total, reduciéndose a unos pocos insectos. La vegetación dominante son los morrales enanos, musgos y hierbas, la función es caudocifolia y las hojas son de tamaños pequeños.

Características generales_: Los dos factores que contribuyen a crear las condiciones frías don las altitudes, que determinan el descenso de la temperatura y la carencia de humedad

Físico-Química: Graduación Alcohólica

En las clases de Físico-Química, últimamente estuvimos viendo graduación alcohólica. La graduación alcohólica es el porcentaje de alcohol que tiene una bebida cada 100 cm³. Ese dato se encuentra en las bebidas con alcohol, en la etiqueta de la botella. Dependiendo la bebida que sea, tendrá mas o menos porcentaje de alcohol. Yo les voy a explicar como se puede calcular la graduación alcohólica de una bebida.

Para explicarles mejor la graduación alcohólica, lo haré usando una bebida alcohólica que yo elegí. En mi caso yo elegí el Fernet Branca.Es una bebida con mucho alcohol, hasta una de las mas alcohólicas.. Esta bebida tiene 45% v/v. les comenzare a explicar:

Para este proceso se necesita saber cuantos cm³ hay y luego la cantidad de alcohol que tiene la bebida. En este caso sabemos que el Fernet tiene 45%.

Primero se debe saber la cantidad de alcohol que hay en esa bebida cada 100 cm³, si la graduación alcohólica es 5%, se representa 5 % v/v. Eso quiere decir que cada 100 cm³ hay 5% de alcohol. Les explicare mejor con la bebida que elegí. 

Cuando se va a una bar y se mezcla una bebida alcohólica con una gaseosa, (coca-cola y fernet) la cantidad de alcohol sigue siendo la misma, eso quiere decir que no influye en la cantidad de alcohol que hay sino en la cantida de cm³ que hay. Entonces imaginemos que se prepara una jarra de 300 cm³, donde se colocan 200 cm³ de fernet, 50 cm³ de vino (5% alcohol) y el resto coca-cola. 

Ahora hay que calcular la cantidad de alcohol del volumen de Fernet que se colocó en la jarra. Para eso hay que usar la regla de tres, simple. Se multiplica 50 cm³ x 45 cm³ y se  divide por 100 cm³. Los 50 cm³ son la cantidad que se colocó en la jarra de Fernet y los 45 cm³ son de la cantidad de alcohol de la bebida y se divide por 100 cm³ por que son 45% v/v, y como dije antes quiere decir que cada 100 cm³ hay 45% de alcohol. Luego se hace lo mismo con el vino. Se multiplica 50 cm³ por 5 cm³ y se divide por 100. La cantidad de alcohol que hay en el Fernet es 22,5 y del vino es 2.5.

Finalmente se tiene que multiplicar 100 cm³ por 25 cm³ (la suma de la cantidad de alcohol del vino y el fernet) dividido los 300 cm³ que tenia la jarra. Este calculo da como resultado 8,3 periodico. Entonces quiere decir que en la jarra hay 8,3 % de alcohol. 

Ahora que sabe hacerlo prueba con diferentes porcentajes de alcohol y practica!!!

Dear Luke,

                     I´m writing this letter to you because I want to talk with you and know how you are feeling in the new country. Also I´m going to talk about what I was doing these days.

I feel very sad because you went away from the country but now I´m more happy because in some months you are going to come back. I think that I’m going to do a big present to you when you come back. I´m thinking in a big party or some cool present. But I just thinking. I want to know what you were doing these days in the country and in the place you are studying. Teel me all you know because I’m very exciting about all this new experience. I have to tell you two amazing thing that happened the last week. On Monday I went to the supermarket and I found $100 in the floor. I was so happy that whit that money I bought two t-shirts that says “BEST FRIEND FOR EVER” and when you come back I´ll give you one t-shirt. And the other good thing was that the Friday. I went to the beach and a rare man gave me a lot of candy because he said he didn´t like it but really I never could understood why he gave me.

I´m very happy to write this letter to you!

Report: Enviroment Issues

REPORT: Enviroment Issues

INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this report is to talk about the main environmental problems in our country. I will talk about specifics problems. Also I will talk about what is being done. Then what people need to improve to change this and finally a conclusion. This information I take from different places using the computer.

TRASH: The people contamienit a lot. Most of them does not take importance to the enviroment. The trash is a main problem in this country because most of people doesn´t recicle or even separate the trash. The society must be aware of what he does and change the situation.

What is being done: In this country there are a lot of NGO (no gobermental organization) that are responsible of the problems in the enviroment. Greenpeace is an organization that help the animals a lot like the whales. There are a lot of NGO and some of them are responsible forb the trash. Also the people do not throw garbage in the bins.

What need to be done: We have to motivate the people to make a better use of the specials trash. That are the ones where you separate the paper from the plastic and other materials.

MINERY at OPEN SKIES: In this country there are places that make minery but at open skies, that mean that they do not make this in caves. This affect the water because when the people explote the mountain need a lot of water to separate the rock from the mineral inside them.

What is being done: The goberment try to stop this bacause they use a big amount of drinking water.

What need to be done: We have to motivate the people to stop this and put a law that prohibit this type of minery.

CHOP DOWN TREES: In This country there are many places where workers cut a lot of trees. The trees take a lot of years to be like we actually see. The cut of trees contribute to the global warming. Also affect the ecosystems and we lost a lot of forests.

What is being done: We are trying a lot to reduce the chop down of the forest. Also the NGO help in this enviroment problem.

What need to be done: Like all this problems I mention we have to motivate the people to reduce the problem. Also we have to make a  reforestation to the damage ecosystems.

Conclusion: We have to protec the enviroment. We do not have to wait and only talk about it, we have to make on our own. We have to protec our planet, is the only one that we have. I hope that this report is going to change your mind.

Todos los Soles mienten

INTRODUCCIÓN:

  Trata de un grupo de chicos que vivían en la tierra en un futuro donde el sol se estaba apagando y cada vez hacia mas frio. Luego este grupo de chicos encuentran una cueva, que ellos le llamaban "El Santuario", donde se encontraba una piedra que generaba calor para mantenerlos vivos. 

  Estos chicos siempre hacían muchos juegos para entretenerse y casaban ratas por una ley que habían hecho por la gran cantidad que había de ellas en la ciudad. Finalmente planearon que 4 chicos se quedarían en "El Santuario" para sobrevivir el frío hasta que desaparezca. A través de todo esto pasan por varias aventuras.
DESARROLLO:(opinion)
  En el desarrollo de la historia hay algunas cosas que me gustaron y otras que no. Las cosas que me gustaron fueron como, en el principio, presentan a los personajes por que eso te da un panorama de como podrían reaccionar los personajes según lo que se les presente. También me gusto los hechos que se generan, me refiero a que me gustó las ideas del autor de las ideas que tubo y como fueron ocurriendo. No me gustaron los nombres de los personajes por que algunos me parecieron nombres de personas adultas. Tampoco me gusto el desarrollo de las cosas por que hablaba de algo que estaba sucediendo y luego de repente relata otra parte que había quedado en suspenso.
 El libro me intereso y me pareció muy entretenido, me atrajo tanto que lo leí solo en 2 días. La historia es interesante y tiene muchas cosas que te atraen cada ves mas y ademas hay momentos que dejan los hechos en suspenso y eso te da la intriga de que va a pasar y quieres seguir leyendo. El final  me gusto pero no me lo esperaba, nunca creí que iban a morir en el frío. Creía todo lo contrario, pensaba que se quedarían en el santuario y luego relatarían que paso cuando el frío desaparecería. Nunca me imagine que terminaría con un final triste. El libro me encanto y lo recomendaría a la gente que le guste leer pero no tuve ninguna sensación rara solo tuve la duda de que pasaría luego a medida que leía. El libro me ENCANTO! 

Diary Entrie: A different History

A different History: DIARY ENTRIE

16 August 1944:

                          Dear Diary,

                                            Today is not like the other days. I’m very scared and I don’t know what is happening. I woke up in the morning like I always do and I stayed at home. Later my mother appeared and said to me that I had to run away. Very scared I started to run to another place… I was hidden when a strange man appeared with a suit made of metal and this man of metal was the most terrible man that I have met. At midday I was in a jail with my mother. The soldier was with us waiting for a ship. Later the ship appeared and a lot of soldiers also appeared with a lot of jails. The man opened our jail and he took a gun. Then he said that we had to go in the ship. Then in the afternoon the strange people that appeared gave food to my mother and me. They also gave food to all the Indian people that were with us. Finally, in the evening I went to bed but I saw a person trying to scape. I listened that the man that was trying to go away from the ship was shouting and I was very scared. I don’t know what happened later but I think that the man died. Now I’m waiting. I hope that I can go away of this ship. This is the most horrible thing that happened in my life and I don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow.

Report: Current Facilities

The Field

INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this report is to analyse the current facilities of the field of my school. Then I´m going to talk about the advantages and the disadvantages. I went to the field and I saw the Installations and I decided to talk about the elements that the field need to improve. At the end I will conclude to a conclusion.

CURRENT FACILITIES: The field is very big and it has a good state. There are 2 courts of Hockey and another 2 of Rugby. The field has 2 wardrobe, one for the girls and the other for the boys. Also in some places there are sprues to drink water. Finally there is a place approximate in the middle of the field a place, inside there are a lot of photos of the excursions that the students did previous years. Also there are a lot of trees.

ADVANTAGES: The field is in a good state and the trees are located well. Also the bathroom are in excellent state. The materials that we use to practice are well maintained. Most of the materials are in good state and only the minimum of the materials need to be repaired or buy it again.

DISADVANTAGES: Inside the place there are photos but is unnecessary

because it doesn´t have a specific function. Sometimes they don´t cut

the grass or the grass don´t have a good maintaining. And also as I said

before the materials need to be repaired or buy it again but sometimes.

NEED TO IMPROVE : They specially need to improve the equipment. I said

before that they have all the materials but we need a better equipment to work.

CONCLUSION : The Field has a lot of advantages. Only some things as I said they need to improve. It is in a good state and we have all we need most of the times. It is an excellent place to play rugby, hockey and athleticism.

Soliloquy: Soldier

     Oh my god! Why do I have to do this? If  I  leave my house my family is going to get crazy. I don´t wont to do this. Please Zeus help me! I´m scared to fight against Medusa and if I die! Oh this is a very difficult decision! If I die how my family is going to react! and if I don´t have the strenght. What am I going to do? And if I die, my son! What is going to happen to him? Are they going to have another father? Well I have to see the positive points. If we kill Medusa we are going to be in history. We also are going to be remembered like heroes. I hope that Perseus is a good captain and he can make good decisions and I also wish that the other soldiers could fight like lions and also i wish that none died. Now I´m thinking how perseus and the other soldiers feel about the journey. Are they scared? And now I´m telling the Gods to help my family if I die. Well I have to prepare all my things to the fight and be ready to go in the morning and also say goodbye to my wife and my son.
